2026 HEREFORD INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE AND FIREWORKS!
The parade starts at 6:00 pm. Followed by a festival featuring vendors, crafts, bands, performers, and food at the Hereford High School. To close the night, beginning at Dusk, we have the best Fireworks around!

Donations
It costs a lot to organize this event each year. We appreciate all the volunteers that help us keep the costs down. One of our biggest expenses is to cover the fireworks and technicians. If you enjoy watching the parade and/or fireworks, any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
Join the Parade
Clubs, groups, organizations, businesses, schools, bands, political candidates, cars, fire equipment, police, motorcycles, farm equipment, performers, animals, and more are invited to build a float, ride, dance, or march in the parade. It is FREE to have a float in the parade.
Volunteer
Planning and executing an event of this magnitude takes a great deal of preparation to be a success. We couldn’t do it without the help of our volunteers. If you enjoy watching the parade and fireworks, and appreciate how much this brings to our community, please consider volunteering.

The 2026 Independence Parade will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 6 pm.
Rain Date: Monday, June 29, 2026.
Costs
There is no admission fees to watch the parade, attend the festival, or watch the fireworks.
Parking
Parking information. Hereford High School – School, Track, and parking lot by tennis courts. Handicap parking available at the High School.
* Bunker Hill parking available for parade units only *
Parade Route
2026 – Mt Carmel Grauls to York Road at Hereford High School.
Parade Road Closures
Mt Carmel/York Road crossing will open up shortly after the parade. York Road will remain closed by the High School until 11.

Property Decorating
We love to see the community band together during this 4th of July event and show off our patriotic spirit. While we no longer hold the decorating contest, we still enjoy seeing how people along the parade route decorate their property (resident or business).
Vendors
Vendor spots are available at the Hereford Independence Festival location at the Hereford High School.
Fireworks
The fireworks start at dusk. Come early and choose your favorite spot. Set up your chairs or blankets, and other fun stuff, as you prepare to watch the spectacular fireworks display.
